Reviewing 200 Government Agencies in Under a Year

DESIGN. SUSTAIN.

Following the 2018 provincial election, the Ontario government needed a rapid, rigorous assessment of nearly 200 provincial agencies - identifying inefficiencies, duplication, and misalignment with the new government’s mandate. The timeline was tight. The stakes were high. And the work required credibility at the highest levels of government.

Chris played a lead role in designing and implementing the Agency Review Task Force - building the methodology, developing the evaluation tools, and managing the review from the ground up. He advised MPPs at Treasury Board and senior leadership throughout, with findings delivered through the Ontario Budget, Fall Economic Statement, and public media releases.

The result: a comprehensive set of recommendations for agency mergers, dissolutions, and governance reforms - delivered at scale, on time.
